• Dallas County Technical Center Open House—September 16
Parents, students, and community members are invited to the Dallas County Technical Centerís annual Open House on Tuesday, September 16th, from 6 Ė 8 pm. SkillsUSA members will be serving a taco dinner to help raise funds for student activities during this school year.
DCTC serves students from Buffalo, Skyline, Hermitage, Wheatland, Weableau, Humansville, Fair Play and Halfway high schools. Students participate in one of eight programs offered: Auto Mechanics, Collision Repair Technology, Welding, Building Trades, Graphic Arts, Health Occupations, and Computer Networking.
The mission of the Dallas County Technical Center is to provide all students with academic and technical preparation in becoming lifelong learners who will be competent, respectful, and responsible citizens capable of adapting to an ever-changing and increasingly technological society. • Senator Blunt's Staff Hosts Mobile Office—September 22
U.S. Senator Roy Bluntís staff will host a Mobile Office on Monday, September 22, 2014 from 9:00am to 10:00am at the Dallas County Courthouse Administration Building (Commission Office). Mobile Offices are opportunities for Missourians to discuss their questions or concerns with the federal government one-on-one with members of Senator Bluntís staff. Senator Bluntís Columbia Office also extends one-on-one service to all Missourians who have an issue with a federal agency or need additional assistance.

• 10th Annual Kiwanis Halloween ParkTacular—October 25
We are letting area businesses know itís time to start making plans for our event. We would like to know if you would like to participate, either by having a booth at the event or by donating either cash or needed items.
If you would like a booth we need to know if you want electricity (limited spaces available/first come first serve). If you would like to donate something, those items will need to be picked up no later than October 17th. Download Flyer.
